History of the Home Creations Jingle

“Home Creations…we help you find your dream home!” In 2004,Home Creations started producing and airing radio spots. I was approached about writing a jingle to help brand the spots and so I sat down one evening and started composing. OK…I know, most sales directors are not composers, but my degree is actually in music, and I have worked at a music publishing company and do have around 40 songs published. So, no problem. I use a program called “Finale” to notate the music. Writing a jingle is easy for me, especially when I know the product the way I know Home Creations. You want to emphasize things that are important to people, make it memorable, and in our case, help them remember our phone number. So, thinking about customer service, the value represented by the price of our homes, the American dream of home ownership, and our phone number, I composed the following lines.

Home Creations we’ll help you find your dream home. (donut)

Home Creations with prices in your comfort zone. (donut)

Home Creations a friendly voice is on the phone.

At 364-9999 it’s Home Creations.

Of course, when you write a jingle you leave “donuts,” spaces at the end of each line for dialogue. Or, often we will only use the first and last line of the jingle and leave a “donut” for the middle two lines. We have the jingle with lots of versions so we can “talk’ during the radio spot. We also use just the jingle bed under television spots with the last line, or just the words, “Home Creations.”  The jingle is proprietary to us, and that is the value of having your own original jingle, rather than just using a jingle bed that some other company may be using as well. The jingle has helped brand our name. Many of our employees share stories of people singing the jingle to them when they see theirHome Creationsname tag. The jingle has been a huge plus for us on name recognition. What makes jingle magic? Well, to me, it is not the words or melody, but the arrangement and recording. We were fortunate to have one of the nations best jingle writers, Michael Brown, at MBrown productions, arrange, and produce our jingle. MBrown productions has produced many national jingles, and we are fortunate to have his help.
