Gardening in My Back Yard
Your backyard can be used for an endless amount of possibilities, such as; cooking outside, entertaining guests, a playground, building a swing set, exercise, etc.
What about a garden? Healthy eating is a growing trend among Oklahomans. A big step towards healthy eating is planting your own vegetables.
Oklahoma is known for its rich red colored dirt. Some may think that planting and gardening is Oklahoma is impossible, but it’s just the opposite. There are a ton of resources and helpful sites to get you started and turn your thumb green in no time.
10 Reasons for Planting Your Own Garden:
- Healthy eating of your own (organic) fruits and vegetables
- Cheap: you won’t be buying as much produce at the grocery store
